Not sure about posting link to other websites so I will jsut give some facts and if anyone has one of these or thinks it is good than I shall finally pick me up a scale this weekend.

Looking-At-Getting-A-Scale

CEN-TECH digital pocket scale
$14.99

g, oz, dwt, ozt measurements
500g, 17.64 oz, 321.5 dwt, 16.06 ozt max
0.1g, 0.01 oz, 0.1 dwt, 0.01 ozt resolution

So good enough for coin weighing?

I recommend one that goes down to 0.01 not 0.1.

Yeah, John1 said what I would've, 0.1g is too high of a decimal place for coin weighing, the standard deviation on that alone would mean the difference between a real and counterfeit. Also, I would recommend, a small overall weighing potential (500g allows for too much error), I would recommend, 300g or lower, not less than 100g though. You won't need 500g for just weighing a single coin. otherwise that is a decent price, but you could do for a better quality scale (Something from Lighthouse is not much more expensive and is less likely to break down or turn out to be faulty).

Nope. Insufficient resolution. I own one of these:

For the record, the original batteries are still in use, after 8 years.

Double checked the actual item in the store to make sure they didn't have any that were 0.01 grams tolerance and left them all at the store with their 0.1g.

thanks for the help!

wish I had a coin place near me that would have stuff like this.

So much depends on how much you plan on really using one. I've got several and now think waste of money. They just sit there on a shelf. Haven't used one in many years. If your not sure if you'll really need or use one, spend the money on coins instead.
