Hi guys...Take a look at these two 2011 boreal toonies...The core is offset on the one on the bottom...We see it all the time but did you ever notice it affects the placement of the die when it is stamped...Look at the arrows and see the difference it makes....Not earth shattering, but interesting.

NOW THINK OF THIS...I COULD EASILY REMOVE THE CENTER CORE AND PLACE IT IN A NORMAL RING AND SELL IT AS AN ERROR...DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN..?

The die always has the same gap. You could switch cores but an astute error collector would see through the ruse immediately. Again, only ONE die for rev is used. The gap is always the same, the hole for the core is the issue.

nickelsguy..I dont sell coins so I would not attempt that..BUT SOMEONE COULD...
