That's interesting. One of the Mint reps there said they got five in stock. And this was on Friday.

The staff at the Mint Boutique can't seem to give a straight answer. I went on Thursday and they told me they will have the gold Superman coin on Tuesday. I asked how many and they said that they had 10 gold coins last year and expect the same this year.

And I heard people who phoned on Monday were told they did not have any gold Superman coins. Perhaps that explained the very short lineups. I thought there would be more people at 7:30 am.

Today, the manager simply told us they did not know when the gold coins will come in.

I wonder if the staff bought the 5 coins you mentioned.

He or she was telling the truth.

There was one gold coin for each boutique employee...

The rep told me that he saw the gold coins in the back when they were doing their inventory count of their shipment. Last year, they got 10 gold, and he said this year, only got five shipped to the store. He then said it was not as nice as last year's gold coin. Oh well... maybe they reserved them for their top Mint Boutique coin buyers.

I got to believe if there's a VIP MC, MC, etc., etc., then there's a VIP MC Mint Boutique member.

my guess is that the new 2014 gold superman will follow the pattern of the 2013 gold....The best coin of the 2014 series, in my opinion, is the action 1 silver green studebaker and I think it will be very hot....looking fwd to actually seeing these coins......

but need to add tax to this, correct?
I see on the Kijiji the coins for lower price....but it better not to take a risk and to buy from the real company.
On the Kijiji you don't know with whom you have a deal..

So much for being shipped out September 2, mine is in the processing stage at the mint. I'll take a picture of it when it's it arrives and add the picture to my collection . The coin will go on Kijiji for a week before going to ebay

Looks like Coin Gallery in London has some available for $1150.

Although on kijiji its a bit risky, but to be honest, these are coins we are dealing with, not phones or laptops, most people who deal with coins PM's are not shady people, if you meet someone at timmies or so, you can have a good look at the coin and buy it on the spot. On the other hand, you are buying an item that you have not seen, spending so much money and getting it shipped, I dont know if CanadaPost would offer $1300 insurance, so that is also a risk for transportation, but the waiting part is the hardest.

That's correct, agree
But how come, that on the Kijiji we still have the offers listed, while on the ebay the currents auctions and BINs will go much higher?

Smaller, local market just doesn't get the exposure that ebay does - and of course the 10% commissions

^that and also, I messaged someone who was selling one for $1100 in my area, and the reply was that I have received higher offers, will take highest offer I have when coin arrives. if the coin sells for like $1400, you loose 10% ebay, 3% paypal, and then if you want to cashout to pay credit card or so, another 3% conversion from USD to CAD since paypal charges a lot, so basically like 15% is gone so $1400 is left with $1190

Even at $999, Colonial Acres has sold out of the gold Superman coin.

Status of Online Stores:

Colonial Acres - Sold Out
Gatewest Coins - Sold Out
Coin Shoppe - Sold Out
Talisman - Available for $899, price raise twice in one day, $799, $849, now $899. And in US dollar too.

Just wanted to make a correction to an earlier post. We are not sold out of the Superman gold nor have we been yet. We are only accepting orders via phone.
