The mint should be made aware of this. Fortunately the coins weren't damaged! This is very sloppy shipping and on an expensive coin to boot!

I find this cardboard package innovative for RCM, but: if they were used for Superman series only - it's OK. But the mint used them for 100for100 coins and even for some 25cents (or 50cents) colored coin with flower. So yes, I will also agree, that the packaging is cheap. Liked a lot acrylic cases for 2013 Superman silver series.

My concern with the cardboard case, surrounds how well it would stand up to wear and tear over time like 20-30 years? Most of the packaging is attractive. However, for the premium collectors pay, we deserve wooden cases like New Zealand mint did for vintage steamboat Willie. It's simple, yet very attractive and serves as an easel too. It stands at an angle within the case.

I've always been impressed by the NZ Mint. Packaging is very nice and quality of coins is very good too! This is what made me discovered them few years ago, with the water-filled lid, KOI cases, Titanic one, etc.
The gold Disney ones are very very nice, with the angle you're referring, the hole under the coin so you can see the obverse without having to remove the coin from it's "hole", etc.
For packaging, NZ Mint is the best I've seen so far! And the quality of it's coin is very nice too! If it wasn't from their very very bad pricing policy, this mint would be much better than it is now. They improved a lot, but a few years ago, they were selling all their coins at a high price and ALL dealers were selling like 20-25% less than the mint itself!

Well, for a quarter ounce of gold with a sticker on it that I am paying 2x spot for, I expect a VERY nice case.

It seems in my 2 coins, the coin capsule is smaller than the hole insert of the packaging and they fall out. also from two different vendors.

The new COA is too "cheap" and I don't like that there is not place to put it except on the coin.

Same here, the hole is a bit too big and the capsule is loose in there.

I just received my 4 $15 superman coins from the Shopping Channel. Looks great, the only disappointments are the COA and lack of a place to put it. Someone must of been hungover when designing the case without a COA compartment. It's too easy to lose the COA when displaying the coin in case. It's too bad the coin can't be stood up in case. These cardboard cases need a better redesign.
