Hello,

my collection of pope, presidents, dictators on coins (1801 - to present) are almost done. There are few valuable coins left to complete collection. Here are them:

2 reales 1842 La Rioja - Argentina - General Rosas

5 franga ari 1926 - Albania - Zogu

5 francs 1941 - France - Petain

1 colon 1925 - El Salvador - Quinonez

30 baiocchi 1830 Papal states - Pius VIII

Anybody have them and want to sell for resonable price in circulated shape. These prices on ebay are very high, above catalog value. Please let me know.

PS.

for the collection of pope, presidents, dictators on coins:

- only one coin per person
- only circulated coins
- coin have to been minted during their reign

There were a whole lot of Petain 5-franc coins for sale in the April 2014 issue of Monnaie Magazine, the French coin magazine. Quite expensive though!

If they're all "above catalogue value", then consider the possibility that the catalogues are wrong. Krause catalogue values, in particular, are notoriously wrong for certain countries.

Congratulations for your collection!! Unfortunately, the coins that you miss are pretty rare and expensive. Do you have a complete list of your collection? Can you share it with us? I'm very interested in the kind of coins you collect. Best regards!!

I've kept my eyes out for a Pétain 5FF for a number of years now. You are not likely to find one that actually circulated, they were never released into circulation and the ones that you find in the market are all uncs. That might be reason enough to take the type off your list!
