It's ok. Nothing special IMO. PS. They came with a spiffy new packing slip and invoice so I guess the Mint completed another system upgrade. Maybe now they can work on getting the on-line tracking working again for all orders. Edited by CC-Ottawa 05/15/2014 12:24 pm

I got 5 of these in the mail today without any notifications. I don't know what to make of these coins. I'm confused.

I signed up for 3 subscriptions, but at these I dont like it anymore, but can't have an incomplete set. Also anyone know when this series is coming to an end? It doesn't seem to be that popular anymore, as currently there are 3 $20 for $20 coins for sale on the mint website, goose, bobcat and this, despite the reduced mintage, previously I have seen the previous one sold out by the time next one came out, or soon after. but never 3rd.

Yeah there definitely seems to be a decline in the popularity of this series. The latest coin has the lowest mintage since the very first 20 for 20 coin that came out back in 2011. This goes to show that they're not selling enough of these coins quick enough (hence the goose and bobcat coins still being available for sale). However for $20 I can't really complain since they add to my growing collection and I personally don't mind the designs.

I don't see them ending the collection... maybe lower mintage, or number of release per year, but still, 4 is pretty good for a collection: 80$/year. The problem for this series is not the series in itself, but the crazy number of all other crappy coins they releases each and every months!! If a normal number of coins or series were to be released, these 20for20 would look much more attractive. At this moment, every single coin is just "one of a bunch". This is really becoming a real problem for RCM... they HAVE TO lower the number of coins released soon!

After collected them all in the 2011-2013, I do not see need to add the coins, that I do not like, just to "have them all". The Goose was good in the 2014, and I bought it, but on others decided to pass. Series is OK in general, but as TIPIT mentioned - it just drowns in the ocean of other RCM's coins, some better, some worse. So for $80 a year, I'll prefer to buy one coin, that I really want, rather than 4, just to keep series running.

I certainly agree with Tipits analysis, it's the flood of coins these are getting lost in. Also I do believe some of the novelty has worn off, coupled with the 2 other series the $100 4 $100, $50 4 $50. You add these 3 series up and it does get pretty expensive for a casual collector. Where the more seasoned serious collectors go more for the limited Mintage unique coins. With so many releases, you really do need to become picky. I believe the smaller Mintage is a good idea. I also wonder how many of these coins have been returned to the mint to be melted?
This being said, they are still a great way and affordable way to get kids interested in collecting silver coins.
