Thanks Windscar!

I'll just get the specimen set to keep my loonie/toonie collection current and the $100 for $100 Bighorn Sheep.

I've decided to limit myself to loonie/toonies; $X for $X; and whenever they come out with a new Venetian glass coin.

Anything other than those would have to have a very special significance for me to add at this point.

Hi silveroid et al!

I received my June catalogue today.

We'll have a look, but honestly, I agree with yingyang that the incredible number of coins being released every month is overwhelming.

This definitely has a negative effect on me as a collector.

However, perhaps there is something I might not be able to pass up.

The Mint changed the pre-MC release date to Tuedsay from Monday. The MC release is on Wednesday.

I expect a email from my rep tomorrow (tuesday).

Just have got the catalog, but didn't open it.
Looks like that the June's "hot" coin, will be not by RCM, but by the Perth Mint: The Poseidon.

Not as ugly (IMO) as Zeus, but will have same mintage as 1500 and 2oz weight.

The Zeus coin (mistakenly sold with discount $106 by CA) is very popular, so the Poseidon probably will be the same.
Just need to act quickly and order from Perth Mint website.

Added:
just saw that WSD is taking pre-orders:

sweet, another month of no purchases for me (aside from my F15 and Great Lakes Sub) I do however want another banknote coin to release at some point this year.

@Silveroid,
What is the date for the release of the Posedion coin? These coins are ugly and I have no interest in collecting them but is there any potential for flipping? I understood the Zeus coin did very well. But will the 2nd coin do as well?

I actually share opinion people from RFD:
will do good, but not as great as the Zeus.

From Perth Mint:

Do you plan to get the new Maori (2014)?

So I just had a sneak peak at the new coins coming in June and WOW there are some really nice looking coins. The haunted Canada coin set is so unique that I might just have to order two, I think it will be a real winner, too bad it wasn't glow in the dark as well as being lenticular. Also, the two WWII commemoratives are nicely designed, I cannot wait to pick up the D-Day coin with the King George VI effigy especially.

I received the catalogue.

There is a 10 coin subscription Explore Canada ($54.95) with a cheapy (I think) box. The coins look interesting but is not my piece of tea.

I like the Canada Coat of Arms coin, but as they mix silver and gold, we have to pay taxes ... like $300 just in taxes.

The courage of the bear looks TERRIBLE.

Having said all that, I guess I`ll pass this month.

Received the rep e-mail and there are some nice designs. The only one I might purchase is D-Day and only because of the rumour of a George VI effigy.

The design of the coin is not revealed in the e-mail unless of course it will be a just a big question mark. Does anyone have any advance information about the design of the D-Day coin?
