@silverdollarnuts: I've been waiting for one as well. When I first heard about the WWI Expeditionary Force coin a few months ago, I thought that maybe it would be a SD. Turns out it is a $5 coin struck on a planchet used for a SD. Does that count?
BTW, my CEF coin was delivered today. It's an attractive coin in hand.
Maybe the RCM will issue a SD for the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown and Québec Conferences to go along with the gold coin issued earlier this year. The Canada150 web site lists the bicentennial of Sir George-Étienne Cartier's birth as a major milestone for 2014. He was considered a "Father of Confederation." A SD honoring him would be a nice companion piece to the gold coin.
