Finally Some New Coins - My First From India!

I finally got a couple new ones for my Notable Historical Figures collection. Only one is ancient but I'll post both here anyway. I also have a fairly exciting new one on the way for my Roman Imperial collection! I'll get pics of that up when it arrives. Anyway, here they are: Ashoka the Great (268 â€" 232 B.C.) Silver Karshapana, 270 - 175 B.C. Maurya Empire, 15 x 12mm, 3.06g, ~0Â°, GH 570 series VIb. Obv: Five official marks. Rev: One official mark. Akbar the Great (1556 - 1605) Silver Half Mahmudi, 1556 - 1605, Mulher, 12mm, 2.69g, ~80Â°, Unlisted, rare. Full Mahmudi are KM 72. Obv: Kalima. Rev: Name of Akbar and titles. Many are extemely rare and rarely offered for sale and when they are they are super cheap. (with a few exceptions) Report this Post to the Staff
