Wildwinds has this down as Orodes III, but examples on acsearch show it as Orodes I, II and III. How am I supposed to tell which one this is?

The latest research on Elymaean coins is Van't Haaff (2007). By his reckoning your coin is Kamnaskires-Orodes, from early-mid 2nd century AD. The exact citation is Van't Haaff type 12.3, subtype 1-2A1.

Wow! Nice coins Bob. Mine looks as though it should clean up in 5 minutes (famous last words), I don't think it will have as much detail as yours, but won't be too far behind.

Nice coin Pish, I haven't gotten into this series yet so I really know nothing about it.

I just picked up 4 of this Empire's coins, not knowing anything about them. They were in a bag listed as 1700-1800 India. Was I surprised when this forum helped shed the light on what they really are.

Very interesting that there is so little known about the empire.
