I have the below dirty Morgan. Is their anything I can do to "clean" it without damaging the coin? It looks like dirt, but I really do not know what the substance is.

It's not really dirty IMO. By dirty if you mean toned, then you could try a silver dip. This is the 3rd most common-date Morgan of all time anyway. I'd leave it as it is. If you're really inclined to maybe just try an acetone bath or rinsing the coin off with some distilled water.

I agree. You don't want to do anything with this coin except maybe soak it in acetone.

@ zxcccxz I should have been more clear, I am not looking to dip it. More just to get off the specks on the Observe and the gunk on the Eagle's chest, wings, and "America" on the reverse. I will try some distilled water and then acetone if necessary. Thank you.

I love the look of this coin. I would leave it as is. Yours is in much better condition than mine. I gotta get a MS one.
