In a recent post about grading a 1918 50 cents, I try to take some picture of something looking double on the 8. Here's more detail. One picture is the 0 of 50 and the second is the 8 where we can see more detail in the bottom loop of the 8.

IMO no repunching happening there, just a tired die.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
