Hello!

Can anybody please help me with any information about this coin? I know nothing about coins / collecting, but have an old box of UK coins stuffed in the bottom of a drawer (they have been there 30 odd years) and on getting them out the other day I saw this one. I can't find any pics like it anywhere on the net. I don't know if it is an error in the pressing of the coin or if something happened to it at a later date? Can anyone shed any light? Many thanks!

It looks like PMD to me, because the rims are pushed. I can't think of anything at the mint doing that.

Thanks for the responses - have no idea what might have happened to it, but think I might keep it for its novelty value!
