My first.

1979-$20-Multicoloured-Series
1979-$20-Multicoloured-Series

1979-$20-Multicoloured-Series

It doesn't look too shabby but there's a stapler hole under the coat of arms so I'll guess VG. How close is my grade this time?

my guess is thumb tack hole, and I would say about G,lots of folds, lots of wear, bad corners, I would guess about face value. But if is your first definitely a keeper..

There's another hole beside Deputy governor (it is clearer on the back to the right of the serial) so it's a stapler hole. Or maybe two thumb tack holes.

I'll wait until I find an upgrade then I'll spend this. Now to find a good target...

Note is too creased and worn up to be worth more than face. I grade G/VG.

I'll just have to stick with it for now until I find a better one though. Would it be still be worth face if I keep it for ten years?

If that's the case it looks like it won't go up in value even if I keep it for a lifetime.
Hole filler then. When I find a better one I'll probably trade this off with someone else who needs a hole filler.

I was reading a Charlton special book from Libary today (2014) about coins and the prices that a dealer will pay for said...The book said a dealer would pay 30.oo for that bill if it was UNC ....A -- for other grades.....A good book-Said a dealer will only pay 5-6.oo for an UNC coin set of basically most years- even those gift sets of PL coins 6.oo not 16.oo like I thought..It did explain that the dealer would then mark up the coins %40% to resell...

Your library has a Charlton? I gotta check out the library near me too then.

Well, then it's too bad my bill is so far from being an Unc and why dealers are very expensive

Library has two- one reference, and one too sign out...So I'm lucky with any trip to Lib..ONe Paper Money collector (Who learned from his father)that I ran into a few times at Post Office (Philately Dept)back say in 2000,,(Before I was into banknotes)Had stacks of UNC notes of these 20.oo and he said then that they were only worth face,,so he spent then..Said this perticular denom. and year didn't go up in value--I guess even now 2014 he is basically right..

Maybe I should check out my local library.
It needs to be at least AU for even a small increase in value, yeah I guess there isn't too much interest in the $20 multicoloured series until now. Maybe in 50 more years?
