I have been working on adding some 10 oz. silver bars to my stack lately. Today my LCS had two JM bars for his normal price of spot + $1 per oz. There is another shop in my area that lists their JM 10 oz. bars quite a bit higher. $43 a bar more in fact. I had planned on just getting one bar today but I got both of the JM bars he had today anyway because of this.

Is this additional premium for the JM 10 oz. legit?

Pressed 10 oz bars at $5 will probably sell eventually to a collector, but a few bucks over is more realistic. I've never paid more than $1.50 over for a 10 oz JM. Poured bars are a different story...

$20 an ounce give or take, I'd buy those bars for that. Good pick up!

Nice shiny Type B JM bars! I cannot even get generics for $1 above spot. I have been wondering whether the newly minted series A/B bars would drive the prices of these vintage ones up or down. What's the going price for the vintage 1 oz JM bars, types A and B, these days? Significantly higher than the sunshine mint versions or not so much?

Have you weighed them?
