Poll Question
I'd be interesting in getting opinions on this. I just picked this up in the Heritage Long Beach auction. It's in one of the new PCGS holders so it many not have been submitted to CAC before. Do you think this would "green been" with CAC?

If possible keep comments to whether it would sticker or not rather than a place to state opinions on the merits of CAC itself.

Thanks!

Those look like HA.com scans and I can't tell you jack from scans because, with an AU58, luster is oh, so important and scans rob an image of nearly all luster.

So, I have no idea and won't venture a guess without proper images.

Definitely a CAC coin. It's got really nice eye-appeal.

Hey- sorry to jump in, but what does CAC mean? It's not in the CCF glossary.

I voted yes but as posted above, it comes down to luster. If the luster is good? It should bean for sure.

I don't know much about CAC's criteria, but the hits on miss liberty, most visible on the arm, could be a concern.

I like the original look a lot. It's really sharply struck, and there is minimal if any wear. I think you made a good purchase.

That said, luster is incredibly important on an AU58. Unless it's got the luster of a 62 or 63, which the images don't indicate, I don't think it will CAC. I am also concerned about the powdery appearance of some of the edge toning, and the hits across Miss Liberty's upper body and cheek.

Please let us know if you send it in. I would be delighted to be proved wrong!

I would submit it for sure. The coin looks great and I don't see any reason of not getting green CAC.

Never heard of CAC. How do they compare with PCGS, NGC, or similar?

I say go for it. It's got great eye appeal- a beautiful coin.

But, I've never submitted anything to CAC and really don't know what they base their decisions on, so my opinion may not be worth much.
