hah probably true. Although to be honest, I would have gone ahead with it nonetheless. I'm quite happy with my purchase - 44 unattributed silver Roman coins, plus over 1kg of uncleaned silver Crusader hoard coins from the Levon era.
If you buy any cool coins from say Heritage or Stacks other than a recent NCLT coin you will incur HST when it crosses the border, it's Canada, sounds like you are getting nice ancient coins enjoy them.
Thanks john, that's good to know.... I've bought a few times from this same vendor and I wasn't charged anything for some reason...so maybe they simply missed it at the border (although the same paperwork with full disclosure was included, and the value was >$1,000). This vendor is in the UK.
Sometimes stuff does slide through, just depends on how busy the international mail section is in TO or VAN. I want my stuff stopped and Taxed as we are GST registered dealers.
