Hey guys, I bought this coin a while back, an 1873 open 3 variety 1$ gold coin. I was wondering what grade it is in, and also if I should get it professionally graded.

On a side note, should I go to the whitman expo thursday, friday, or saturday? I want to choose the busiest day

From the pictures, AU-55, give or take a few points. It is possibly cleaned, but I can't tell from the photos. Saturday is by far the busiest day. I myself would choose the quietest day, Thursday.

Thanks TypeCoin. Also, just out of curiosity, is the quietest day a better day to go?
