Well, I thought 1905-S was a tougher date to get your hands on, so..... But hey, I've never been perfect with what I think!

The mintage was only 1,884,000. But I'm not sure if that's a low mintage for the Barber quarter series.

1905-S is a bit scarcer than most dates. I don't find solid G coins for under 10$, so IMO you did fine at 9$.
