Problem is, they're quite pricey right now on ebay if you want anything that's in reasonable condition and still legible. The most worn-down coins are still several hundred dollars. Fugios are always on my potential shopping list at shows. I'm not seeing any decent VG's under $200 these past few years. IMHO, that $125 value is well below what the OP's coin would bring; this, even if cleaned - yet, with VF details. Of course, better pics always help bring grades and valuations into focus, so my opinion may be off on this one. Report this Post to the Staff

philadelphian Pillar of the Community United States 3253 Posts	Posted 07/04/2014 10:06 am The keg of mint-state Fugios found in the vault of the Bank of New York in the 19th century wasn't formally evaluated until 1948. By then, 1,641 remained, of about 5,000 originally, the rest having passed out into collections. Of those 1641, 132 were this variety, 11-X. 11-X is R-4, so 76-200 believed extant in all grades, but, doing the math, you can estimate as many as 270 mint-state 11-X Fugios went out from the hoard. Even allowing for attrition, it's a good bet that an MS Fugio of this variety came from the Bank of New York. Report this Post to the Staff
