I understand that this is just an image to give you an idea of what kind of coin you would be receiving (not the actual coin you will receive), but... There's just something about it. It's so perfect and frosted in all the right places. If the scuff in front of Liberty's forehead and the one on her cheek were gone - the coin could easily make a MS68.

Haha, I think you're getting ahead of yourself. I believe it's just the lighting and photography as it usually is with these big sellers. I doubt PCGS would undergrade that much and even if they did APMEX would surely send it back for a higher grade, especially since the price difference between a 66 and 68 is substantial.

Plus the fact that it's a stock photo means that they took the nicest 66 of the bunch and took a picture of that and this won't generally determine the quality of the piece you'll receive. Still $349 isn't an aweful price for a 66 (Although you could do better on ebay).

Whoops, maybe I am getting ahead of myself.

I know it's a stock photo, but if the coin really did look like that, I would surely snatch it up for that price!

A boy can dream...

You could always call them and say you want that EXACT coin since it is identified by the PCGS label number. Don't know if they would go to the trouble to locate it or not though.

Looks like a staple scratch PCGS couldn't bring themselves to bag.

Last MS66 I sold was in a NGC holder to Heritage. I think I got around $350 for it. So that is a decent price, but on MS66 or better coins I want to see the coin before I ordered one. Actually all coins I prefer to see first. There are a lot of dogs" sitting in MS66 holders and not so many choice ones from what I've seen.

Or maybe they manipulate their photos.

This one does not look like an MS-63. Looks more like a 64/65.
