Off-center errors will be missing an equal amount of design detail on both sides along with an equal unstruck area. When only one side of a coin appears to be "uncentered", that is attributable to misaligned dies(MAD) which is a common occurrence and only collectible when the misalignment is so extreme that peripheral design detail is missing.
