I think ebay would be your best choice. Coin shops will typically pay you less because they need to make a profit. Online you can cut out the middleman. Good luck!

Two key coins need to be present within the set to get the most $$ from it. The 1925 as it is a scarce low mintage coin. The other the 1926 FAR 6, which is a key to the set. The 1926 NEAR 6 is a lot less expensive, it's is typically at 1/20 of the value. Finally, condition is always a factor in any coin set and should be noted when it comes time to sell.

Thank you for your responses. I have quite a learning curve ahead of me with all of these coins we have inherited. I have the 1925, but may not have the 1926 far 6. Oh well....

A good brick and mortar owner makes it his business to educate whenever it's needed. Go see one, and maybe another. I see those all the time at my local store and have never bought one. My nickel collection goes into tubes.

I would love to have the set, Because I need some of the George V and newer ones. But I'm not sure of what I have to do because I like the CCF forum and dont want to do something that is not in the membership rules. I dont think that the moderators and other members would allow me. Good Luck with the sale, I hope it goes well. Also pics of 1926 also if possible if I see it on ebay

ebay, or a young friend, I know if I was a bit younger, this would be the spark to get me interested! Or flame for that matter. Young friend or ebay.
