Would anyone know if the people at ANACS are having problems? I Tried setting up an account there and filled out the paper work via web site and have heard nothing in response. Sent e-mails, No response. I tried calling their 1-800 # and it just rang and rang. No Answer, no message service. Are they just 'that' busy or are there other things going on? I will try calling back again today but wanted to know if any of you guy's/gal's knew anything. Thanks

I would guess vacation this week? I recently set up an account on-line and had to call to activate it.

Interesting. Last year I set up accounts with ANACS and PCGS. For some reason I couldn't activate either account online although it seemed like I should have been able to. Finally contacted both of them by phone and was able to activate the accounts that way. ANACS is a bit harder to reach by phone, but eventually they will answer. Just keep trying.

I submitted a coin recently and in their confirmation of receipt email they noted that they were currently unable to open new accounts due to technical difficulties

I had problems with setting up an account too. I called them and spoke with a couple people who were able to fix the problems (and see the accounts I couldn't setup in the database).

I had problems, and eventually, you will get a notice or an email to send your info to the administrator, and he set up my account. I even gave him username and password I desired (you can always change later. 1 day later, I was promptly set up with an account!
I REALLY had a WONDERFUL experience with ANACS. I live West suburb of Denver, near Golden (Arvada)...I dropped off my coins, to avoid shipping both ways....The guy Paul Defilice (Forgive the spelling) was a true gentleman! CLEARLY, he was VERY busy, but he took the time to sit me down, go over my submission, and even found a way to combine my invoices and save money.
I REALLY like this company, and they have a real place in the hobby.
On a side note, I just got my first ANACS submission results back, and I am MOSTLY pleased...Got 2 REALLY nice verdicts!
I recommend this company to anyone

I'm a total newbie, but recently I had several family coins that were worth preserving and slabbing so that the next generation was aware that they were something more than just a coin. I live in the Denver area and went to a coin show where I showed them to Paul F. of ANACS at their table. He kindly looked them over and indicated they were worth grading and might need a little conservation. I then dropped them off for grading and picked them up personally. I am very pleased with the outcome, service, price and turnaround time (economy service was only about 2 weeks for several different submissions).
Re online registration, I too had troubles, but never got around to calling to get things straightened out.

I think ANACS needs to up their online presence and fix (read upgrade) their website to current standards.
I to signed up like 5 times and I get their emails but still can't log in.
In today's day and age of "image is everything" I think a flashy website would get them started moving forward and the increased revenue could translate into data entry from their hard copy paper files into online data keeping to create the registry and pops like PCGS and NGC use.
Heck, get an intern from a nearby university to do it for you for free on a coop college credit plan.

Just saw this thread but had to respond even though a little late. I'm a really big fan of ANACS, great service and pricing, and have no complaints With their grading(and I've had my fair share of details come back).
