I had a TON of extra common date wheat cents from CRH. So I went down to my LCS, sold the wheats, and bought this 1926 Standing Liberty quarter. I think it was a good trade. It's worn (AG-3) but it has original surfaces and nice eye appeal. Love this series. I sold 300 unwanted common date wheats (many repeats, dozens of 44Ps and 56Ds) in average to poor condition for the quarter. I think I'd did OK!

Nice one! Is this a hole filler?

Nice, your coin roll hunting is paying some dividends. Pleasing and original SLQ!

That sounds like a nice trade! I have a lot of unwanted wheat rolls that I need to get rid of. How much was he charging for the SLQ originally?

Yes, this is a hole filler. I paid $5 for it. I sold the wheats for $6. I used the extra dollar to buy two Buffalo nickels and one V nickel from the junk/cull bin.

That's a good deal! So each wheat roll was worth $1? Were they mostly from the 40's and 50's?

2 cents per roll is a little light on the wheats, I would be inclined to hoard up $25 face and sell it on ebay or the like for 3c to 4c ea.

It's not a bad deal on the SLQ, but that is basically a junk silver coin, to me. I pass up nicer ones all the time. But hey, as long as you walked out happy.
