A week ago I went to my LCS and a younger man walked in with a stack of those old blue folders, 2 for halves,1 for dollars,2 for quarters and 1 for dimes. Of course they were older so they were all heavyand full with silver, and also a set of 1953 unc NSF coins in a box that was eledgedly issued by the bank. Long story short I got a couple quarters, a stack of BU silver halfs and a BU 1958 dollar all with the perfect folder toning and the 1953 set for spot!
Along with the mix of other stuff purchased from the man there was a 12 coin strip of gem UNC 1963 cents in a 2x6 format packaged in cello that they gave to me for blowing my wad.
I'm wondering
. is this issued by the mint?
.how Mich did they sell for?
.are they valuable and rare?
.can anyone provide images of something like this?
And any other info you may have for these.
Feel free to call me Will.

Hi dollarman

Believe it or not, I got one of those very strips in a box of cereal as a kid. I think they must have been promos provided by the mint for some reason, or maybe they were simply re-packaged old stock. I think I got it in the later '60's; I had that strip for years, but lost touch with it eventually. And yes, they were Canadian, plain old regular 1963 uncirculated pennies. Sure wish I still had them!

Post cereal giveaways in the 1960's. The best ones were the Maxwell House silver dollar premiums of the middle 1960's
