I've had this beautiful nickel in my possession for over 25 years... it's a 1981 proof frosted Canadian nickel that has been separated from its set. I forget what I paid for it, but I've seen prices on other websites for SP-67 and PL-67 coins going for between $20 and $35, but don't say if frosting increases the value. Would someone here be able to tell me? Here's an image of it:

All proofs are frosted.
There is not much demand for these early proofs. Despite catalogue values of $10-$25, ones such as yours regularly sell for $1-$2 on ebay.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Thank you for that, I'll probably just keep it for its sentimental value.
