REHOLDER: Re-encapsulation of a PCGS-graded coin. The coin will not be regraded.

PCGS's reholder program...

As some of you may know, PCGS has changed holders recently. They transitioned from the (photos credit davidlawrence.com) old holder with the full rubber ring around the coin and a bland label:

To the NEWER holder that has three rubber prongs and a blue and white label:

Question-About-PCGS-Reholder-Program

PCGS has now transitioned to an even NEWER holder, in my opinion there best one yet. It's just about the same as the newer holder I mentioned above, but the plastic is white instead of PCGS normal blue. The rubber of the three prongs is a whiter rubber with the DuPont registry hologram on the reverse of the slab.

I have some old slabs with decent coins in them. They've got the full rubber around the coin and the bland label. If I request that PCGS reholder my coins, will they...
-Print a new label, or use the old bland label?
-Use their new DuPont registry hologram?
-Use the new white plastic and rubber?

I'm looking to reholder the coins because I prefer the newer holder.

I have had some reholdered recently and they were with the blue labels, scratch resistant holders and three prong gaskets.

I prefer the older solid gasket and don't care for the three - prong holder from pcgs.

I'll get my coins reholdered the day PCGS comes up with actual air-tite holders instead of Sonically-Sealed Slabs. Otherwise, the difference is minimal and the cost isn't worthwhile unless your coin upgrades or is in a rattler.

No clue as to what they'd do if you sent your coins in. I'd guess that they'd use brand-new everything.

Yes
Yes
Yes and yes if they have depleted their stock of the the old rubber inserts for that coin size.
