9 years on Monday, but we have been together for 16 years before that, so 9 + 16 = 25, a significant number (I figure). So I have just had permission to buy this from vcoins: Sellers pic EDIT: SO EXCITED I COPIED THE WRONG COIN  Here is the right one:  AELIUS AE As. VF. TR POT COS II - PANNONIA. Scarce and Complete! Obverse: L AELIVS CAESAR. Bare head right. Reverse: TR POT COS II, S-C across, Pannonia standing facing, head right, holding standard, PANNONIA across the fields. A good exemplar of this scarce and interesting coin, in VF condition, conserving complete motives and legends in both sides, including a nice portrait of Aelius. Precious dark blue patina. RIC II 1071. Rome mint, A.D. 137. 11,5 g - 24 mm Edited by pishpash

Great coin and, from the sound of it, a great relationship. Congratulations on both! For my wife and me the sum is: 6 + 25 = 31 (6 dating; 25 married), as of last month.

Happiness is a nice AE ! It took me over 30 years before I found a nice Aelius as which appealed to me ! Back in the 'bad old' days before the "internets" you just couldn't find the guy except in high end dealers inventories. Being a cheapskate I always balked at paying so dearly. When I discovered ebay back in 2002 several sellers were flooding market with VF grade 1st & 2nd century bronzes and I got lucky ! Congratulations on a fine pickup. VF portrait to fill the gallery. Now you need to find one of Lucius to match ! I tried to snag one today but the last second bids drove it to 161 euros ! Probably well worth it too ...... But my "thieving" instincts kept me back |

Happy anniversary, great looking coin. I had my 6 year anniversary several days ago, but unfortunately we did not celebrate with Roman coinage. We did get pizza, which is arguably the next best thing from Rome.
