Bank box find. I don't own a scale. I'll have the weight sometime Monday afternoon.

From looking at the lack of design at the edge, I am led to surmise that this coin was struck from an 'end of strip' blank.

Obv. 'IN GOD' and 'LI' missing, and
Rev. wheat stalk missing.

There was enough metal left to spread the struck coin to fill the collar die.

Low weight should lend credence to this theory.

It was struck on a tapered planchet which would typically be punched from the end of the metal stock sheet. Nice find

Struck on tapered planchet errors on wheat cents seem to be somewhat abundant for this specific year. I have 2 myself and have seen multiple others. This is a very strong example of the error and is a very nice find for a coin from a bank box!
