Nearly Uncirculated 1960 Rolls..worth It?

TellersTreasures Valued Member United States 153 Posts	Posted 07/13/2014 10:45 pm In my teller station coin vault I have about 8-10 customer wrapped 1960(and only 1960) nearly flawless rolls of pennies. Do you guys think they are worth hanging on to? I wasn't sure if they are seen as worthless or what! Thanks, Trevor. Report this Post to the Staff

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 07/14/2014 12:13 am Solid rolls of uncirculated pre-1982 copper are always a good buy at face value if you want to accumulate them as copper bullion. If the 1960 rolls have any D mintmarks, it is an even better buy because you can search them for the numerous RPMs. Report this Post to the Staff

The small date D mint coins carry little to no premium, but a 1960 small date is one of the more valuable date varieties of the 1959-2008 series, right after the 1970-S small date. Sounds like you have a real shot at getting a couple here, but it's always a win-win when you're buying at face value. Report this Post to the Staff
