I recently bought a small collection of coins and sets ,one small box had about 12 rolls of pennies(Canadian). One of the rolls in a clear tube holder said 1962 2 dots over 6. When I took out the first few they all had this 2 dots over the six.Has anyone ever heard of this error variety?

Welcome to the community, is it possible for you to upload some images? There are a lot of varieties with the 62 penny.

you can use this site for a good reference http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...nt-1953-1964

There is a Hanging 2, and different dots, but nothing listed as dots over 2. Pictures would help immensely.

Maybe your coin is the variety named " Crying 6 ", and to confirm this, you will find the same dots ( die clash ) on the obverse.
