Here is a pretty nice 84-O Morgan with a serious (incuse) crack. Morgan Fred speculated about what the die might have looked like and the incredible pressure applied to the planchet and die hubs. Perhaps this coin was struck when the die initally failed. I just can't see the next coin having an incuse die crack scar transfered to the planchet. Want to bet when the die terminally failed there were pieces flying all over the place...

I like it, pretty coin also. It appears to me there is something around the star after UNUM on the Obverse, are is that just my imagination?

Good eye. There also appears to be a little crack going from the star along the top of NUM. However it flexes outward and leaves a VERY Fine trace line going from the star to ther tops of the letters.
