I have always been a firm believer that every collector should have a budget in mind before making a purchase. If all you could afford is an AG-3, than you should purchase it. Buying more than you could afford will cause you more problems.

Here is a recent AG-3 example that sold for $632.50 on Heritage. Now think about other AG coin types you've seen. In comparison the Merc Dime looks spectacular.
