njnumis Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 07/21/2014 5:34 pm Hi; I could use some help with this one. Bought it on ebay, seller called it "BU" with full luster. Says any marks are die marks. I think it looks polished/scratched and maybe the luster was artificially added via electrolysis or something. It just looks strange, but maybe it's just me. Does this look like a high grade, full luster BU coin? 2 pictures of the reverse because what looks like polish marks are more evident there. Report this Post to the Staff

njnumis Valued Member United States 70 Posts	Posted 07/21/2014 8:04 pm Yeah, I think the relief looks like it might be worn down from circulation, and the field has all those scratches. What's puzzling is the full rim and luster; the coin has a nice cartwheel effect. That's why I thought this has been cleaned, polished and then some trick was used to restore luster.
