Over on the modern board there is a post your Franklin collection thread. In it, I mentioned I was contemplating going through my fathers Franklins he found CRH in the 70s. My dad passed a year and a half ago, so it would be the closest I can get to collecting with him now. Well, I ended up doing that. You are probably saying what does that have to do with Walkers? Well, he also found a rather large number of Walkers CRH. They were still fairly common in rolls back then. So, after doing the Franklins, I did the Walkers the same way. And this was the result. The coins with the silver marks by them are my dads finds. The ones with the black Cs are the ones I have found in circulation either CRH or 7-11 hauls and the like. Un marked are purchased or not sure. I wish I had had the opportunity to do this with him before he passed.

Great to see that you are continuing your father's legacy through collecting. Your Dansco is actually pretty far along, with some nice dates in there. Are you going to purchase the missing coins or leave the album as it is?

Wow, between the two of you that set is very far along and within reach of completion. Very nice! What a great way to continue this legacy. I'm assuming that you'll complete the set?

I have the 21 s that I may pull from sale and work on buying the rest. I am pretty sure it would sit unfinished a very very long time if I kept it to only circulation finds. So I am going to work on filling it with purchase dor trade coins and if I find those hunting, then I can replace them.

Hit some junk silver bins and that thing will come together faster than you'd think. You may never find the keys in there, but you should be able to find everything else given enough time.

Nathan, my wife and I have been insanely luck CRH and hitting 7-11s and banks and the like. If I could talk her into it,I could replace that purchased 38D with the one she found CRH. Yep, she found one of the keys in circulation. The wench. LOL
