Let me start by telling you how I came into possession of the coin. I know this sounds crazy but here I go. One fall evening roughly 6 years ago, my father went into his backyard. He noticed some very large branches of a massive oak tree had fallen. In a perfect line from top to bottom these branches had snapped clean off. Finding it odd of course. But the thing is. After he cleared the branches away.. This coin was found below . I've researched for years, here and there, not finding a lick of linkage to anything of close resemblance. The 4 main symbols I find to be the most interesting.

Thank you for your time!

I would be very careful with that thing. The story you're telling on how it was found plus some of the symbols on the medal make me believe it is evil. I wouldn't hold onto that if it were me. Don't just toss it in the trash though. You may want to ask a specialist on what it may be and if there may be any risk with holding onto it and how to get rrid of it.

!! It does look Astrological, Wiccan or sort of occultish.....but 1. Metal cannot be "evil" and 2. The only way it can hurt you is if you choke on it, or maybe shoot yourself with it using a slingshot. No idea what it really is but it is interesting.

No real mystical alphabet I am familiar with... 8 holidays (wheel of the year), generally also 8 lunar phases, etc. is a Wiccan thing. If it's not just a silly magic token. I would be leaning towards some local covens token for moon phases.

Thank you all for your input. Still, hoping for more. I'm happy for any more information you master coin analyzers can add to the possibilities. It's been an odd unanswered question for far too long. Irks me, really.

Thanks again! (=

Interesting piece that looks like a magic token of some type. More likely a fantasy piece.

If you look at the symbols, then you can find the moonphase:
full moon = circle, new moon = star (at the opposite of full moon):

Runes?
You can send the pictures to one of these sites?

I'd concur with the other members--best to look into the possibility this was from some local new age religion--wiccan, druid, satanic and so on. My gut feeling says satanic--they like to put "scary" symbols on things to get others riled up.

Fantasy token is a possibility, but this looks like it was handmade using counterstamp tools. Certainly doesn't belong to anything large scale.

Another possibility is cultural, not religious. Are there a lot of goths or metal heads in your area? This looks like a sort of "bad luck talisman" a local death metal band might include with an album. Look at the disc art for Marilyn Manson's "Antichrist Superstar... it's covered with scary "satanic" symbols that don't mean anything.

At any rate, it's an interesting novelty, but not worth anything. It's almost certainly modern and probably handmade or cheaply machine-struck.
