I picked up this beauty for my Franklin set. I hadn't worked on it in a while, but could not pass up on this one. I probably paid more then I should, but the color on the reverse is stunning in hand. What would you guys say it grades, and does the color add value if you like toners.

The color is extremly hard to capture without killing all the detail. I am more curious on the technical grdae and if it makes fbl. Thanks for looking and any help.

MS-64! Not an FBL in my opinion, but I could be wrong. Great coin! I would love that for my set. How much did you pay for it?
Rest in Peace

It looks ever so close to FBL. There appears to be a small flat spot on the upper lines to the left of the crack and MS64 sounds about right to me. I would say very little premium if any for the reverse tone, although it is very attractive.

Thanks for the opinions. I gave $55 for it a couple months ago. I just got around the photographing it and posting it on here.

I think that is actually a good price considering the numismedia lists that coin in MS 64 (my grade) at $80

MS-63+ FBL
The bottom set of bell lines looks complete. The slight weakness in the top set by the crack doesn't prevent it from getting FBL.

I think this is going by PCGS standards, but NGC and ANACS look at both sets. That is one reason why I actually prefer NGC when looking at graded Franklins.

i think the second reverse pic with the light slightly less glaring, indeed shows very Full Bell Lines. I say MS63 with all that chatter on the obverse mirrors but certainly an FBL by any grading standard. I do not see how you could call that reverse any other way, its very evident, no?
