Once long ago as a wee nipper when I saw a bicentennial quarter in a fountain, I dreamed of all the number of coins that must be in it. Then dreamed that it got emptied like a toilet and all the money got flushed away down a drain and was probably flowing out into the ocean with al the other... flushed things.

Actually, thinking of the dream about the girl at college, I had another dream more recently that may illustrate my priorities in life! In the dream I met a very attractive blonde lady and walked upstairs to a hotel bedroom with her... We started kissing and cuddling on the bed, and then I found a Roman bronze coin lying on the bed. I immediately got out a catalogue so I could try to identify it!

OH MY GOSH, I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE.

I will have vivid wild dreams at least 1ce a week (must be from my anxiety meds lol) that I am at work and am holding a handful of Silver coins, absolutely in Heaven. I remember opening up a customer wrapped roll of to find all Mercury dimes, in one of the dreams.
Just to wake up dissapointed haha!

I commonly get numismatic dreams, but every so often they're so ridiculous that even in-dream it looks a bit too strange... like that one time I found a 17th-century coin while searching a bag of old Soviet money (a 17th-century 15 kopek coin, mind you).
My weirdest is still that kopek with a six-digit date from about ten years back. I mean, coins from the future do appear in my dreams occasionally, but a six-digit date... that just doesn't really make any sense!

Okay, okay, just getting some usual cool old coins is probably more common - but I just can't specifically remember any.

Last night I dreamed me and jbuck were doing something like a survival game or paintball game, and we were using thrown pennies as ammo.

I have wondered if our recently spirited debates were going a bit too far.

No worry. When all is said and done, we can still be friends.

Huh, I'm on anxiety meds and ever since I started with them I have the most dull, mundane dreams. Like I'd be sitting at a desk just typing, or going for an uneventful walk in the woods. I'm experimenting with lucid dreaming a little, not much of an improvement.

I had a dream involving coins last night. I can't remember the whole thing but from where I can remember I was in a South/Central American jungle and was swinging on a swing above crocodiles. I believe I was on some kind of expedition because the rest of my group arrived and the crocodiles disappeared, but I wasn't sure where they had went. I believe the others were in a boat but in the dream it just seemed like they were standing in very shallow water. So I jumped off the swing and was immediately submerged in deep water. Fearing the crocodiles, I swam a short distance to a boardwalk/bridge structure that I knew was there and bordered this particular dream world.

That is when I found an odd package. The top of the package had been damaged and exposed some coins which I seem to remember being attached by some kind of construction paper. Kind of like a child's numismatic art project but it seemed to be old. I remember there being objects made into shapes with different coloured panels of the brightly coloured construction paper like material. When I pulled on one of the panels the shape changed/unfolded into a map of the world with old coins overlaying the countries of their production. In the package there was a great deal of documentation about the coins and other oddities contained within but of course being a dream I did not get a chance to read any of it. There was also a bill of sale with a name I cannot remember but I distinctly remember wanting to destroy it so I could keep the coins for myself. The coins seemed to be 18th and 19th century copper and silver coins, I don't remember there being gold. I also remember a very old looking rectangular pendant with a piece of glass inlaid in the back.

I then walked to the end of the bridge where I found the other members of my group. There was an old man in the group who gave two silver dollars to another person. They were instructed to throw each coin as hard as they could into the opening of a cave filled with a huge pool of water. I can't remember the significance of his act but it seemed to be important.

At the end of what I remember I had laid out my finds for the others in the group to look at. There was a lot of sand mixed in with the coins and the bill of sale had been conveniently left in the jungle.

I had one on Saturday night. I was driving in France and pulled into a car park. There was nobody on duty and no machine to buy tickets, but there was a chair by the entrance with a jar full of coins on top of it, and a notice asking motorists to put in 50 cents! I waited until nobody was about and then tipped out the jar and sorted out the coins. I found several I didn't have, including a Latvian 50c, which I exchanged with money from my pocket. I was a bit disappointed to wake up and find it wasn't true!

I've had several.

As a kid I dreamt that my mom got several 1943 copper cents in her change. I remember a dream where Lincoln's portrait on a cent was front-facing, like Jefferson's is today on a nickel. And I've had at least one where I came across a coin hoard that had lots of silver dollars and gold coins.
