A beginner's mistake -
now we have two threads on one coin - so where do we put our comments ?
You would be better to put the other pic in this thread, and keep the information and responses together in the one place.
The coin looks Asian to me - pre-colonial Indian, or Malay, perhaps.

It is very early Arabic, 'Abbasid caliphate, I believe.
