I have accumulated a few empty coin boxes from roll searching. I was wondering what uses these boxes could be for that would ensure that they had second life.

I came up with a few that seem pretty arcane but was wondering what uses other member of the forum may have for them.

They're not like cigar boxes but they are the same sizes for pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters.

OK here's a crazy idea I've been thinking about, I plan on setting them up for sorting LMC's into years.

I plan on using nickel boxes, tapeing them really good, and cutting a hole in the end.

I figure 4 by 6 should be about square, might not be airtight but it's one crazy use for 24 nickel boxes...

and I have more than 24 laying around.

Get some paper bag type shipping paper from your local $ store. Don't forget some tape too!. Wrap each empty box, and build yourself a little keep or fort out of your new bricks.

or you could give the brick to your kids or something so they can build their own fort. (if you have packing peanuts you don't know what to do with, fill the boxes with them prior to wrapping them to make the boxes a little more sturdy without being that much heavier.)

you could turn them into a jewelry box with some reinforcement. you could cover it in duct tape and use it for a junk box in the car.

save them for holidays and birthdays and use them for packaging to disguise a gift with.

wallpaper a room with them?

Mine go in the fire pit. Last thing I want to do is have a trash can full of boxes that say $500. I'd get robbed in no time.

Josh what you need is a BBBBIIIIIIIIIIGG dog. Let him eat what he catches. In no time your problem would be solved. Worked for me.

Think that I'm going to do the same thing that I did last year. Paint the boxes red and green and enclose Christmas presents.

Moved the problem further on down the road. My kids use the boxes to help set up their Christmas displays. They even break the boxes down and store them for next year.

Works for me.
