I'm just wondering if any of you that hunt pennies invest in Canadian penny folders just to store some and see how many holes you can fill. I live in the US and find a decent amount of Canadian coins so I think I might but some Canadian cent folders let me know what you think. Happy hunting

I just have a bank roll I store them in. Next time I buy something from a coin supply store online, I'll probably just add 1-2 folders for a total of 5 bucks in order to put them somewhere. I wouldn't go out of my way to order them, especially if shipping is expensive.

I got the Warman's folder for 1920-2012 to see how many I could fill since I kept getting them. Then I stopped finding many Canadian pennies.

Why not? Living in MI. There is a number of Canadian coins that show up in these parts.
Reminder that the Canadian Cent is no longer minted.

As far as Canadian cents go, I keep only the pre-1998 ones, since they are still copper. From 1998 on, they changed the composition, and eliminated copper (these are the ones I spend at Walmart). FYI, Coinstar machines reject Canadian coins.

Centurion, your off by 2 years, we stopped the copper in 1996. And find rolls to search is getting really tough for most of us north of the 49th. So I would imagine for you guys the Canadian penny will definitely slow down.

Why would it slow down? Any Canadian cent down here is probably stuck down here now being used as a US cent? One fo the 2-euro cent coins I got was change the person thinking it was a penny. Looks copper-ish, right size, most people just accept it as a penny and don't look any closer.

Now I could help make it slow down If I went for 10 boxes of cents and kept turning them over. But thre shoudl still be plenty to go around as each box has a couple to about 10 in them. Just the older ones will be harder to find and those commemorative oens. (Thankfully I have the jubilee and rock dove already)
