I'm considering the possibility of pursuing a low-ball set of Barber halves ... have never seen a photograph of a certified PO01 example for visual grading comparison.

Curious if the CCF members believe either of the following two Barber's might qualify as PO01:

1894-S

Two-Barber-Halves---Possible-PO-1?

1895-O

Two-Barber-Halves---Possible-PO-1?

For comparison ... the following semi-key 1896-S is certified as PCGS FR02.

Two-Barber-Halves---Possible-PO-1?

What do you think ... are the two raw examples simply FR02 as well?

They're both Borderline coins. I'd say they could get a PO-01 but PCGS is stingy when awarding PO's so they may get GR's as well. Should be nice additions to a Lowball set eother way.

PCGS would call both Fr2 IMO.

It's awful close, but I'd say they look closer to Fair than Poor IMO.
