My wife says I need to sell some of my coins. Where is the best place to sell, ebay,Craigslist, or Facebook.

You let your wife tell you what you need to do with your collection?

Of the 3 you listed, definitely ebay! Of course, ebay's fees are a bit high for some (works out to about 13% when you take into account both ebay and PayPal). Another option would be to sell through CCF. You certainly have enough posts to sell here. Depending on the value of the coins, you could also consign to an auction house (Heritage, Stacks), but that probably is only the best option for high-value coins or large collections.

ebay is a good place because your listings will be seen worldwide by millions of eBayers. But take in account you have to pay fees.

Quote: You let your wife tell you what you need to do with your collection? Sorry, but that is just hilarious. lol. Why does she "think" you need to sell them? All that being said, ebay is the best place, unless you have some very valuable rare stuff, then maybe one of the major action houses like Heritage, etc

EBay.
If my wife ever tried to tell me what to do with my coins she would enjoy sleeping on the couch until she dropped that idea. My core collection is mine and I'll be danged if anybody tells me what to do with it... Wife or not.

OMG you obviously never dealt with craigslist. Its a breeding ground for degenerates. I make that statement because I am sure no one on this forum sells on there

I buy and sell on CL, I have conducted probably $15k in transactions on CL. Always meet in public (I like Barnes and Nobles) and if you can, conceal and carry.

She wants me to sell them because I have too many. I'll admit I do. I am thinking of selling my common, multiple ones, that I have.

I'd go with ebay then. Just keep in mind that the total seller fees are around 13%: 10% to ebay around 3% to paypal. Also listing fees if listing as buy-it-now. But as was already mentioned, ebay will get you lots of eyes looking at the listing.

This likely violates ebay's terms, but it's probably allowed on Craigslist!
