So I have this trusty Canon Powershot camera that I've taken many decent coin closeups--see pics below.
I'd like to give this away to a YN or anyone who can't afford a high-end macro camera quite yet.
I'm sure this camera has a lot of use left, and that you'll find a technique to shoot good pics too.

Terms of giveaway
• To enter: post your best coin picture and tell how you want to improve your pictures.
• You should have at least 50 posts here at CCF and be able to get emails.
• If you're a YN (under 18 CCF member) you'll need your parents OK to play.
• Finally, I only ask in return that you help with the postage (around $4). Thanks, this will motivate me to get the camera to someone who can use it.

Camera-Giveaway-Ended!
Camera includes manual, battery/charger, 4 GB card (plenty of room), and USB transfer cable (you'll need a computer with USB to download images).

Some coins shot with this camera:

Well I am in need of one as my 4mp old camera is, well old :) But I seem to take OK pictures with it, and I have been so broke that I cant even think about buying any coins to take pictures of let alone spending $4 on shipping (hey times are tough) Now having said that, I can think of someone that posts in the modern errors that DESPERATELY needs a new camera, as I think he has been using a slice of ham to take pictures all this time.... I am just not sure how often he is on anymore :)

Yeah...I understand. Still, I think $4 isn't much for getting a macro-capable camera and accessories. On my end, the postage helps motivate me to get everything boxed up and actually ship it, rather than just let it sit around here.

Oh I totally agree DVCollector. I wasn't trying to sound like I was complaining at all. It is extremely generous of you to offer a camera for the price of shipping. I was going to nominate someone, but then I actually fully read your rules and didn't see that anywhere in there lol...

Well, I for one, could sure use that camera... Just look at any of my pictures in the US coins section and see how bad they are...
It would benefit me immensely to be able to take better pictures.
I just remarked on a post in the ancient forum this morning. that I need to find a inexpensive camera that takes good macro shots...

Here is one example.

and another...

so many more bad pictures..

and I can afford the $4.00 shipping.

I think you'll be able to take closer and sharper shots with this Canon. In fact, I've been able to get close enough to capture doubled dies and other small details.

The camera is yours! (Ended early--but I'm not turning away someone who can use it )

I'll send you a note to get your shipping details.
