Went out in the same section of woods today and found a 1978 Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot action figure(It is not metal, but I popped it up somehow with another signal),an unfinished arrowhead in the same hole as an old brick and a large blade(The arrowhead is either obsidian or slate. The blade looks to be off a plow) , some random dome- shaped piece of iron, and some shotgun shells from the 20s.

Coin Collector there is a big difference between obsidian and slate. Show pictures because I have my doubts its even an arrow head at all. When pictures are shown the story is a little more believable too.

Wow Coins 101 take it easy. The kid is out there doing what we all love. I am sure he is trying to categorize his finds to the best of his ability. On a forum we must all take the facts that are given to us and form our own opinions as to whether the author is right or wrong.... and since we were not there and didn't see what happened our opinion can and most of the time probably is wrong. Either way he found a treasure in his eyes.

Yuma I wasn't being mean just saying what I thought. If it was offensive I apologize. Its just its easy to tell a story but its better when pictures back up the story. Nothing wrong with me saying that.

Just kidding. A forum like this is intended to hear the opinion of everyone.

And I completely agree. Without pictures, or the video I uploaded, it can be very easy to doubt my claims. I value all of your opinions, and thank you.

I metal detect too. What fascinates me the most about metal detecting is the non metal stuff you find while digging the metal objects. I've found many items non metallic beside a metallic item. Clay marbles 13 now, glass marbles lost track, clay pipe, etc... I'm not doing so good in the silver and gold department though. Besides I'm more into the relic part of metal detecting anyways. Its just always a bonus when something is silver or gold.

Coins 101,

I agree that we all should be able to express our own opinions on these forums.

Maybe I was feeling a little punchy when I wrote that.

Thanks for punching me back! LOL
