This is great, now I have offline access to all sorts of sources! I haven't got the chance to buy them yet, but I'll be attending the expo this October (my first ever expo) and I hope there might be some for sale, because I can't borrow the books.

I've taken a quick look at these three just now:
The Charlton standard catalogue of Canadian coins 1980
Standard grading guide to Canadian decimal coins 1965
Silver and nickel dollars of Canada, 1911 to date 1978

Unfortunately they will be moved to storage soon but I could still request to retrieve them if I want to. There are more but I didn't look at all of them.

I've requested the 1962 and the 1973 Standard catalogue of Canadian coins, tokens and paper money and hopefully I'll see them by this afternoon!

When books become dated here, they have a sale, where most my reference is from.
You might ask about that.

Just don't go stealing any of the DVD-Roms that the modern books come with.

Great idea fioti, I'll keep my eyes open for that.

Libertad, do you mean that the new edition books come with a DVD? If so then it's too bad that I don't have a disc reader.

I looked at both books and saw how catalogue prices were low back then! I also got some scans of the 1962, only about the coins I collect (KGV onwards). No reason filling my USB with pages I won't look at anyway. I'm afraid to break the paperback spine of the 1973 if I scan it.

Oh, and they also have a lot of RCNA journals and a stack of banknote journals (can't remember the name). I'll probably go to the library a lot until I'm done with them.

I'm using a MacBook Air, so there isn't one. It's a bit inconvenient when I have to install something. I usually borrow my dad's, but now I'm abroad so I can't.

I suggest you buy an external DVD drive - see http://www.macworld.com/article/201...ook-air.html
