Many first century denarii (particularly Flavians) have the outward facing type legend. The style seems to have gone out of fashion after Domitian.
The coin appears genuine ...... But I would not pay beeeeg money as it is a bit beaten up !

Domitian did that just to irk coin collectors centuries later who would spend a half hour trying to figure out what the letters were on a beat-up coin before realizing they are looking at it upside down.
