I just received a 1920 (~G-4 condition) Buffalo nickel in change from a cafeteria. It goes to show you that there is still some good stuff out there...

cool circulation find. it looks like it may be a restored date. the year looks "faint" and even. not unlike many I have seen which have been restored. whether is a restored date of not - its a fun find.

The date surfaces look original to me.

When it comes to worn Buffalo nickels, 1920s are actually pretty good about holding a visible date, as opposed to any of the teen years or 1921, 23, 24, and 25, whose dates would likely be obliterated in a similar state of wear.
