Where would one look to find silver dollars? Since they are no longer in circulation I was wondering where I could hunt for these! I know where to buy them, just seeing if there was a way to hunt them!
Thank You
Paul

I don't really think you can hunt them anymore. You'd have to buy them, online or locally, through Kijiji, Craigslist (Beware!), a coin or pawn shop etc. You'd have to be one lucky son of a gun to find a silver dollar in circulation anymore.

I have twice encountered Peace dollars while going through bags of Ikes, but getting those bags of Ikes is a lot harder (for me) than it used to be. But I'll keep trying whenever I can get them.

If you want silver dollars, you should just buy them. Hunting Ike's for Peace/Morgan dollars is like hunting cents for the sole purpose of finding Indian Heads.

The chances of finding one is very slim, just buy them.

Usually, my family and I will go down to Orlando, FL for a few weeks in the summer. I don't know if it is the senior rate that affects it, but I got a bag if Ikes, and picked out 4 Peace dollars and one morgan. Now I know to do that every year I go there if the bank has them. Mark
